The new feature created in September 2009 has had mixed reviews. To begin, it is a menu option that allows you to set a goal in a certain skill that shows your percentage of that goal accomplished. This feature helps new players to manage the countless skills they need to improve, but experienced players find it a waste of menu space because they can just look it up in each skill menu. You can also use this menu to help guide your progress on a quest, although the same thing applies, that you can just look up similar information through the quest menu. Whether or not you find it helpful, try it and see if it is any use to you.
Note: There is no reward for finishing an objective, just a note that says you need to go outside from Jagex :)
